Which server should a new player start on?
A new or recently opened server. On a fresh server nobody has accumulated gear or Adena, clans are actively recruiting and the economy is still readable — which makes it the best environment for a new or returning player.
Is Lineage 2 Essence pay to win?
Essence is free to play with a cash shop and premium currency. Boosts accelerate the character you are already playing, so value depends on how many hours you actually farm. Players who invest time consistently can stay competitive without spending.
What came with the Rose Vain update?
Rose Vain added the Blood Rose class and the Ice Witch guardian Glassia, reworked a large part of the class roster, and introduced new hunting grounds, dungeons, a new PvE competition and a streamlined customisation system.
Do I need a mobile device to play?
No. The Lineage 2 Essence client is a PC game and the guides on this site assume desktop play. Auto-hunt and offline hunting are what let you keep progressing without staying logged in.
